Wall Street Journal labels Trump biggest Republican ‘loser’

The Wall Street Journal editorial board this week put the blame for Republican losses in the midterms at the feet of former President Trump, calling him the GOP’s “biggest loser.”
The board said in an editorial published Wednesday that Trump-style Republican candidates lost in races that were “clearly” winnable, but the defeats might be what the Republican Party needs to see before the 2024 presidential election.

“What will Democrats do when Donald Trump isn’t around to lose elections? We have to wonder because on Tuesday Democrats succeeded again in making the former President a central campaign issue, and Mr. Trump helped them do it,” the board said.
Republicans were hoping for a red wave to retake control of both chambers of Congress, but Democrats outperformed the polls in many races. The GOP will likely win a narrow majority of the House, while which party will control the Senate is uncertain.

Trump may have taken a step back, even earned the scorn of Murdoch, but right now he is in the lead for the GOP bid, and as we know, those inside the GOP don’t have the guts to take him on, especially when he is the front runner, not even DeSantis

Besides, the likes of Tucker and Sean, both in love with Trump, aren’t going to dump him, and, as we know, they are the major players with the base

I never watch Fox News, much less those two but I may now just to see their take on Trump now.
 
Trump is vulnerable and Desantis may be able to take him out once and for all. It would be gutsy, but just talk about Trump's theft of a truckload of classified documents. Trump has no defense for that.lHe could base that attack in patriotism.

He doesn’t have to have a defense, he had no defense for “grabbing pussy,” cheating on his wife with a porn star, giving misinformation to Americans during a health crisis, taking Putin’s word, etc., etc., etc.. For those that vote in primaries, he don’t need a defense for anything, and he knows it

The more people and media turn on him, the more unhinged and irrational he'll get. This is gonna be fun to watch him melt down.
I still think Trump won't get the GOP nomination in 2024 and will run as an independent and split the right vote and give the election to the Dems. There's no way Trump will sit out the '24 election. His massive ego won't allow it.

Yep, trump running as an "I" if he doesn't get the nomination as an "R" is my prediction as well!

And when Trump does run as an "I", it will drive the Republicans crazy. They can't win with him siphoning off votes and they'll try to convince voters he's a bad candidate.
It'll be hilarious to watch.

Oh, the 2024 GOP primary? It's going to be a clown show of tremendous proportions. Nighttime talk show writers are looking forward to the jokes writing themselves.
