ISIS LOVES THE NRA

More than 2,000 terror suspects legally bought weapons in the United States between 2004 and 2014 through a loophole that still remains wide open, according to a shocking federal report.

The Government Accountability Office found that 91% of all suspected terrorists who tried to buy guns in America walked away with the weapon they wanted over the 11-year stretch.

In 2013-14, the number of successful buyers rose to 94% — with 455 suspects buying weapons and just 30 denied. Not a single gun buyer was turned away because they posed a threat to the American populace as a potential terrorist.

The buyers all appeared on the FBI’s Terrorist Watchlist, which currently does not disqualify anyone from purchasing weapons.

Rep. Peter King (R-L.I.) and Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) introduced legislation earlier this year to prevent anyone on the watch list from buying arms.

But the “Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2015” has yet to pass.

Among those opposing the apparent no-brainer proposal: The National Rifle Association.

King sounded pessimistic about the bill's chances. “I think that right now it'd be tough to get through. I strongly support it. But no, it's not going to move right now.” King said there's "just too much opposition" from pro-gun GOP House members.

“Anything which they feel restricts the use or the ability to retain a gun they're opposed to. It's sort of a knee-jerk reaction,” he said. “The NRA is strongly opposed to it and the fact is we have only a handful of Republican co-sponsors.”

The NRA did not immediately reply to an email for comment on the proposed law to keep weapons away from suspected terrorists.

There are roughly 700,000 names on the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Database — commonly known as the Terrorist Watchlist. It includes the names of domestic and international suspects identified through intelligence and law enforcement investigation.

We cant let the Middle Eastern refugees in, its too east to get a gun here.

Not all gun owners are homicidal maniacs just because some nut shoots up an elementary school.

Islam is an evil religion, just look at what they did no Paris last week.

:dunno:

the no-fly list and other terror watch lists are prone to false positives, easily defeated and often strip those who find themselves listed of their due process rights, contends the American Civil Liberties Union, who estimate as many as one million names may be on the government’s terror watch lists. The ACLU recently won a federal lawsuit on behalf of 13 U.S. citizens and permanent residents including at least four military veterans who were restricted from flying through a secretive process without explanation. While the court ultimately concluded the lack of an opportunity to contest their placement on the no fly list violated the plaintiffs constitutional due process rights, few changes were made to mitigate the program.

Guess the lilbbies don't cotton to what the ACLU and even Huffington have to say about this.....go figure.

The fact as many as 1,000,000 people could lose their Constitutional rights isn't a big deal to pinheads.

They don't us to be the policemen of the world, just the caretakers of the world, with already 12 to 15 million immigrants inside our borders, I think we're doing our part and more.

So you think ISIS terrorists deserve the protection of the 2nd amendment, and you agree with the ACLU and Huffington.

Poor BLABO.
