She states not all cultures are equal. Not all values are equal. She goes on to say France had a beautiful culture but it's diminishing.
So, my question is, "Does she think the culture and value of having government medical with doctors visiting patient's homes is beautiful? What is her definition of "value"; a culture where sick individuals are visited by doctors in their home or where sick individuals are denied medical care if they can't afford it? Unless they are dying, of course.
She mentions, with ridicule, French youth complaining about welfare benefits. If youth do not have decent employment, are not able to afford to eat properly or don't have a decent place to sleep they are going to get involved in selling drugs and stealing and doing whatever is necessary to survive.
That's a major contributor to inner city crime. If no one gives a damn about our youth, whether they have decent food and clothing and other necessities, what do people think is going to happen? Is an 18 or 20 year old going to passively accept poverty?
All we have to do is look at countries that do not have adequate social programs. Be it Mexico or other Latin American countries or many of the Caribbean Islands. Tourists are advised to stay within the vacation "compound". Why? Is it really that difficult to figure out that people who are suffering due to poverty are going to try and get a piece of the coconut or banana or pie?
