Comcast To Buy Time Warner Cable

This is very bad news for consumers, first off it makes comcast the premier mega cable corp with just about no competition. Secondly, Time Warner always out paced comcast in customer serice and quality channel offerings.
Ive had both and comcast was so bad i went to Direct TV and DSL. Atm I have TimeWarner and im extremely happy. If comcast takes it over and destroys it back to Direct I go.


Comcast has reached an agreement to buy Time Warner Cable in a $45 billion deal that, if it goes through, would create by far the biggest cable company in the United States.

the republican party of course will cry crock tears and explain that if a corporation has enough money they should be able to buy up everything in the country and be our masters

Hi Yoda, nice to see you again!

I don't have cable but this seems like a bad idea that skirts being illegal. I've heard that Comcast is the dregs, too.
 
Are there not some anti-trust laws that can prevent this, we need more cable companies, not less.
 
we need the competition that true capitalism gives us.

Without proper fettering capitalism quickly turns into facism

Hiya Christie :) Comcast when I had it was god awful, never got the speed I paid for, customer service and my connection sucked.
If you did get through to tech support you couldnt understand them. It was horrific, I went to Direct TV and Dsl, dsl was far slower speed but more stable for me.

Im in fla now and I have brighthouse and they are just great but they are time warner cable. Comcast will destroy it and I will go to Direct and DSL again, I had checked a while ago and Im less than 1,000 feet from a phone CO and the dsl speed is 10k right now and going to 25k dl. Thats fine for me and my world of warcraft.
