Coakley Was Too Stupid To Cheat!

Personally, I think they wrote this up due to the reports that absentee ballots had been pre-marked and they wanted to warn voters going to the polls to watch out for something similar. From what I read yesterday, there were two reported cases by absentee voters that claimed their ballots were already marked. From what I read, they did not indicate which candidate was already selected.

Coakley claimed it was Brown's campaign committing fraud (again, this is just what I read yesterday)

If you read the memo, it is obvious they are claiming they have gotten early election day reports, that voters were being given ballots with Brown's name already marked. This was happening at the polling places, a serious violation of election laws! This was the cause for alarm, it was happening on election day at the polling place, that is the only reason a marked ballot from either campaign, would be an issue. One of the most common political advertisements is the ballot marked with the candidate doing the advertising. We've all seen these sample ballots, and we all know they are not real ballots. It's not against the law (unless MA has some obscure one I am not aware of) to print a ballot with the candidate marked on it! The only ethical question is whether or not this is being distributed on Election Day, outside (or near) a polling precinct. So the memo could not have been alluding to anything other than something being done on Election Day, at a polling precinct, while it was open!

When I initially heard about the memo, I thought... okay, they are starting already with the voter fraud thing... they will try to tie this up in courts for months, counting chads, etc. It was only later I learned, the date on the memo was December 18, the day BEFORE the election. ...I am still laughing! This woman was a train wreck! She could probably make Nancy Pelosi look intelligent!

But Obama is still in the 53-55% approval rating range here in Mass. Granted, it's down from his 62% of the vote but it isn't all that bad considering.
Actually, it's 49%, average of four polls.

It was dated BEFORE the election. Come on... even you can see that this is rich with stupid. They wrote the memo the day before, long before anybody reported even getting a ballot, and published it with the incorrect date that was automatically added to the memo...

Oh, I thought they were saying it was yesterday that they complained... Well, unless it was absentee ballots... You are correct!

I just find it one of those things that make you go "hmmmm..."

Of course any claim about it on an absentee ballot is impossible to prove. If it happened at the polling place the judges would be able to verify, and judges of both parties are present. Honestly, this kind of thing would be nearly impossible to get away with on any large scale and would be quickly discovered.
