It's been obvious that CNN has been treading water with this story for some time now, awaiting some new development from the investigation. I wouldn't call it fake news or a witch hunt. I'd call it the doldrums or an interregnum in the action between scenes. An intermission. I haven't been watching and will wait for someone actually performing the investigation to do something. Nothing CNN does is going to change the character of the investigation into election fraud by Russia to get Trump to win. Ergo nothing Breitbart says about CNN covering it will alter it either. Everyone is just waiting. Airtime to fill. Talking heads blabbering their opinions on all news outlets. The Cushner back channel at the Russian embassy tidbit is pretty sweet, and his getting a criminal lawyer who has a record of trying to spare lots of political crooks and felons is cool. Not enough to blabber about all day.
