Yeah, there's absolutely no legitimate reason to think about getting rid of it at this point. A 3% margin in the popular vote isn't nearly significant enough to do it. Now, if the popular vote margin gets into double-digits for the EC loser, then we could say 'wait a minute, this ain't right'.
They won't admit it [or maybe they're slow in realizing it] but democrats don't need a constitutional amendment to get the WH---they just need to make their message appeal to working class voters. But in order to do that, they need to give up something. I would suggest going back to being the democrat party of Bill Clinton instead of Euro-Socialist.
And that, they don't want to do. That's the gist of it.
