I'm fine with churches dabbling in politics and telling parishioners who to vote for. But I will insist that they be taxed just as everything else is. Freedom of speech comes at a price.

Churches will not be taxed if they stay out of politics.That understanding has been around for a long time. But back then, most churches were not businesses seeking power and the leader's wealth like they are now.
I read there are some Christian leaders who seek a court case that would allow them to brazenly go into politics. and still not pay taxes. They think with the righty courts, they could win.
