An Iraq war veteran and a married mother of two were identified as the two civilians killed Friday when a 57-year-old man opened fire inside a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs.

Army veteran Ke’Arre M. Stewart was an entrepreneur, a DJ and a devoted father, his aunt Tronda Stewart said in an interview. “He was always trying to make things better for him and his family,” she said.

Stewart’s wife told KKTV that he “leaves behind his children, whose lives will never be the same.” She also said that all his family wants is “justice,” the station reported.

Jennifer Markovsky, a married mother of two, also died in the attack, according to news reports from Colorado and her native Hawaii. Family members told Hawaii News Now that the 1997 graduate of Waianae High School had gone to the Planned Parenthood clinic to support a friend.

“The family is grieving. We’re all shocked,” one of Markovsky’s relatives told Hawaii News Now.

The outlet reported that Markovsky’s father, John Ah King, mourned his daughter’s loss in a Facebook post. “Life was too short my beloved daughter,” he wrote. “I was waiting to see you soon.”

In addition to Stewart and Markovsky, University of Colorado police officer Garrett Swasey was killed in Friday’s attack, which also wounded nine people.

He wasn't religious and not a registered republican. The cop he killed was a Christian.

That a nut job may have been motivated by the cruel and egregious immoral behavior of selling dead baby parts, is no ones responsibility, other than the nutter.

The desperation to make this something other than what it is, shows the ignorance of that crowd.

It is what it is. He killed innocent people based on right wing lies. If you are okay with that, then we know what you are..

Graeme Wood published an article in The Atlantic titled “What ISIS Really Wants.”

He described the jihadist group’s religious fundamentalism, a willingness to commit genocide to purify the world, and a belief that they are “a harbinger of – and headline player in – the imminent end of the world.”

One of the readers of Wood’s article was Megan Phelps-Roper, a granddaughter of Fred Phelps, the founder of Westboro Baptist Church.

“As I was reading it I was hearing so many themes that were similar to my own upbringing,” she said.

Raised in an authoritarian home where her mother told her the Bible could be summed up in three words – “Obey, obey, obey” – she was an unquestioning, even enthusiastic, believer who gave interviews to journalists and enjoyed debating on the picket line.

When tragedy struck – such as 9/11 – she joined other WBC members in rejoicing in the deaths of "unbelievers".

When an all-male group of elders assumed control of the church they told the members to prepare for the apocalypse. Although women had always been subject to proscriptions about their clothes and hair, now they were chaperoned everywhere.

This month Westboro Baptist was busy on Twitter.

“Thank God for dead Parisians,” "God sent the shooter," they tweeted.

He killed people because he's a nut.

PP selling aborted baby parts is abhorent, and not " right wing lies". Fortunately there exists many Americans who find that behavior abhorent too.

The left are naked in their twisted attempt to make this man's insanity "right wing"
