I thought it was obvious. There is right. There is wrong. There is good. There is bad. There is no one size fits all without consequences. Every single human being may choose to do whatever they want to do. Everyone of us is responsible for the good or bad consequences of our own actions. It's sort of like Newton's Third Law...only it's applied to behavior.
but SCOTUS has ruled on that. Basically you can't discriminate in the services you provide to the general public -
which is a good ruling , as the market place has to be neutral.
I'm talking about going after individuals, or churches purely because they have a religious mindset.
The first Amendment is clear that there is no establishment of a state church, but there is no intrusions on individual/group beliefs either.

You had best explain that SCOTUS concept to your fellow Christians. Many fail to understand it.
What has never been is tolerance in many organized religions. You have the religious right either preventing construction of a mosque in the Bible Belt or condoning the arson attempts on them. The Mormon church was actively involved in the politics of California's Prop 8. That's in violation of their tax exempt status. The list is long.

Its simple. Disprove one thing found in the Bible through Testable Science or History Actual. If the Bible were "fallible" it would be like all other world religious holy books....incapable of standing up to history or science. I think its very funny when some idiots attempt to use Science to disprove stated Super (natural) acts. Science can test only those things physically NATURAL. That is unless you keep a super-natural-o-meter in your hip pocket. If not you nor anyone else can use the physical laws of nature to disprove any Supernatural act...no more than I can explain that which is superior to nature.
Why Believe the un-testable scriptures? Because the Bible is over 90% testable via history actual or applied science...and it always comes out on the side of truth when placed to the test of either where testable.
Why Believe? The Bible could not be the product of man alone. There were at least 40 different authors who were inspired to record the revelations found in the Holy Scriptures. Each from different walks of life ranging from kings to goat and sheep herders...fishermen to government officials....
It was written over a 1500 year time span that covered 35 hundred years of history. The Bible gives an actual history of that time period....THE GOOD AND THE BAD. Who else of what nation tells the truth of the bad things that has happened? Many make the mistake of assuming that because something is recorded in the Bible....GOD agrees with that which if found within its pages. Hardly....only man would write something to be totally favorable to a certain nation.
Consider the first 5 books alone. Moses is given credit of drafting this inspired record. But he recorded all his sins as well as the sins of others. Example (Numbers 20:11-12). The Bible records the sins of one the greatest men in Jewish history King David (2 Sam. 11-12)
Now in an honest and objective fashion enlighten us....how does man record his own history? Do you find the dirty laundry or skeletons in the closet?
Next consider. Every author of the Bible tells us about their sins...but the one thing they all agree on. Jesus walked this earth void of any type sin. Born of a woman, born under the Law, yet He sinned not.
Now notice all the other supposed Holy Books around the world....clearly written by men...some who claim to have written a book yet they did not know how to read or write.
Now look at our own history. Consider the lawmakers in congress...who set the standard for others but refuse to obey their own laws...considering themselves above the law.
In reality...of the 39 books found in the Old Book (testament)...Biblical Israel's whose history is recorded is made to look bad more that it is good. But consider the prophecies found in the Old Book...foretelling of a coming Messiah. These prophecies speak of the majorities of the peoples blindness who simply refuse to see the truth while actually despising the truth He would reveal from heaven. (Isah. 53:1-3)
When men make up a story and pretend that God told them...that prophecy never comes about. Consider the many false faiths of the past 200 years who have said....Judgment day is coming on this or that year and date....but when it does not...they simply make up another date. Or consider the pseudo philosophers of the 70s calling themselves men of Science...who predicted a NEW ICE AGE by the turn of the century...now these same quacks are telling us about man made global warming and how carbon credits can save the world. Go figure.
But the Old Book openly speaks of the Messiah's open rejection and humiliation that would follow Him until He was hung on a tree (Isa. 53:4-12). If a man had written a history and made prophecy about a coming savior.....man would have foretold of His success in being accepted by everyone. Even the Christ called the people of His day out and chastised them for rejecting His truth and for warned them again of the destruction that would befall the city of Jerusalem Shortly...(Matt. 23:29-36) And history proves that Jerusalem was indeed destroyed by the Roman Empire within the lifetime of some of those listening to the Christ on that day.
That's just a short list of Why I accept the Bible as the truth delivered by the God of Creation.
