China accuses US of being ‘leading instigator of Ukraine crisis’

China has accused the United States of instigating the war in Ukraine and said NATO should have been disbanded following the break-up of the Soviet Union.

“As the culprit and leading instigator of the Ukraine crisis, the US has led NATO to engage in five rounds of eastward expansion in the last two decades after 1999,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian told reporters at a daily briefing.

“The number of NATO members increased from 16 to 30, and they have moved eastward more than 1,000km (600 miles) to somewhere near the Russian border, pushing Russia to the wall step by step,” he added.

It's a real nuisance , isn't it, having China speaking the truth to the world- and truth with indisputable evidence too.
 
Oh, my, this is just shocking that China would try to make Pres. Biden and the USA look bad. Who would have ever imagined such a thing.

I can’t believe China would want NATO disbanded. :laugh:

NATO expansion is the culprit - but naturlly they say "disband it"

This means China will buy from Russia and supply Russia - pretty much unhindered
that "enduring friendship" statement at the Olympics in operation
 
The whole point of NATO was to protect Russian neighbors from having their land taken over. It is a defensive organization. Russia has proven how badly it was needed. Russia expands, it is what they do. It is what they are doing now. NATO has grown in membership because the countries logically feared Russia. Now it will grow bigger. NATO has never been this tight.

Tch, tch- and it promised Russia it wouldn't move eastwards. NATO is a self-fulfilling war prophesy.
