No mention of the mayor of the city or that she might not be doing her damn job.

Blacks are 32% of the population of Chicago. They committed 80% of the murders.
68% of those who are not black committed 20% of the murders.

According to the CPD, a total of 797 people were killed in the city, a figure not seen since 798 were slain in 1996.

But that total count does not include people shot and killed in shootings on Chicago expressways, as they are the jurisdiction of the Illinois State Police. When that number is included the city reached at least 800 homicides, according to Tribune reporting in 2021.

The CPD figure also does not include self-defense shootings or fatal shootings by police officers.

Are you defending that record of violence? Do you really believe that the issue in Chicago is that there are too many folks who think a high murder rate is bad living in Chicago? Do you think we should not care about folks getting slaughtered at a third world rate in a major US city?

I don't live in Chicago nor have I defended violence in a couple areas of Cook County Illinois or the DC State Capital ...

It is your position that we should ignore the deaths of myriad folks in someplace in which you don't live simply because it doesn't fit within your political perspective? Do you realize how narcissistic that sounds? Do you lack empathy? Should we call a psychologist for you?

You are wrong there, I have reason to be in downtown Chicago at least 3 times per year... Though that shouldn't matter. What happens in Chicago is something that can happen where you are if you do nothing. To paraphrase an historical quote: All that is needed for evil to win is for good men to do nothing. At the very least you can use it as an example of what policies you do not ever want to show up in your own city.

I get that you have no sympathy or empathy for folks of color in some other city that you don't live in, and that's a shame, but there are good reasons for even a sociopath who doesn't want that at his own doorstep to pay attention and converse on the subject.
