Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has ordered that there be "ICE-free zones" in the Democrat-led city and claimed that the GOP in the country "wants a rematch of the Civil War." This comes as President Donald Trump has ordered that hundreds of National Guard troops be deployed to Chicago as protests and agitators disrupt the activities of immigration enforcement.


"The right wing in this country wants a rematch of the Civil War," Johnson told reporters. "I just want that to sit in right now because the President of the United States of America has declared war on the people of Chicago and people across America."

He continued, characterizing ICE operations in Chicago as taking children away from their families. And lately ICE has been using helicopters and shock and awe to arrest families with kids. I’vs seen local police serve warrants on actual dangerous individuals with less show and theatrics. Personally, I think it is by design, Trump is hoping for a good TV confrontation so he can proclaim an emergency crisis, he’d love nothing better than to militarize American cities
