cell phone only phone users

voters that use only a cell phone for their phone usage are not being polled by major polling services

since many young voters have only a cell phone, their opinions are not registering - i wonder just how much this skews the poll results, toward the reps and if they vote how many the dems will pick up

should be interesting, especially in races where the polls have the candidates too close to call

and no i do not have a link, i picked this up via cnn broadcast

Oh by the way.... I only have a cell phone!!:eek3:

Haha... same here. I heard this story on the news as well. Supposedly younger and poorer people only have cell phones and not land lines (you know the kind of people that you can consistently count on to vote each election).

I haven't had a land lne in years. I'm not poor, and I am damn sure not young. lol

They made kind of a big deal about this in '08, as well.

I doubt it's a significant difference, and I think I read that a lot of the young voters will be sitting this one out, anyway.

lmao

1. you don't need a land telephone line to have dsl

2. there is such a thing in the moder world called cable internet...look it up, i swear, it exists

I work in the datacomms industry, so I'm familiar with all the technologies. I just wanted to know how which one he used. Stop being such a prick, you know it makes sense?

I puzzled over that one too Tom. I don't know how it is in the UK, but dial up is typically only in the remotest of locations where cable is not available. I don't know what the definitive numbers are, but I am going to guess that most have cable internet.

I see no use for land lines for personal use. Why pay two bills? Seems silly to me.
