CBS Poll: BP and Obama Both Should be Doing More to Stop the Spill
It isn’t clear what the administration is expected to do:

A significant majority of Americans believe both President Obama and British Petroleum are not doing enough to clean up the massive oil spill that has spewed up to 46 million gallons of crude into the Gulf of Mexico, according to a CBS News poll released Friday.

Sixty-three percent of those surveyed said the Obama administration should be doing more in response to the spill, while 28 percent believe the government is doing all it can. BP scored slightly worse – 70 percent feel the company should be doing more while 24 percent believe it’s doing everything possible to contain the crisis.

I'd like to know just what exactly you expect president Obama to do?

Don a mask and some swim fins, swim down to the leak and seal the pipe with his bare hands?

The fact is, if BP WANTED to do more, they could. They could bring those big oil filtering arms over, deploy them, and when they get told by the Government they don't have the permits, they could just shout "sue us later" and get the cleanup started.

All this nonsense BP keeps complaining about is just that, nonsense. They didn't wait for EPA permits for the "Top Hat" or the "Top Kill"...any corporate slug whining about the administration not giving them permission to "do this" or "bring over that" is just utilizing another stalling tactic designed to get more concessions granted to the corporate giant once the courts get round to deciding culpability.

lmao....your hackery shows through clearly...

what more did you want bush to do? go down to NO and drain it himself with his bare hands?

liberals view of the world:

katrina: bush can do nothing, therefore he sucks and is responsible for everything

BP oil leak: obama can do nothing, therefore, he is awesome and responsible for nothing

Gee, I don't think former President Bush was mentioned either in the OP or in my response.

But leave it to a hate-filled hack like no-talent Yurtsie to just ignore a little bit of info like that and go off topic so he can whine about the treatment Dubya got after Katrina for a while longer.

Thanks Yurtsie, for not being the partisan hack everyone says you are, and for your reasoned, well thought out response to my question.
