PROPOSED 29TH AMENDMENT TO THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION: ONE-TERM LIMITS FOR ALL FEDERAL ELECTED OFFICIALS

Section 1. House: One 6-year term.
Representatives shall serve a single six-year term. No person may serve more than once.Section
2. Senate: One 6-year term.
Senators shall serve a single six-year term. No person may serve more than once. Current staggered terms continue until expiration; vacancies filled by state appointment for remainder only.
Section 3. President: One 6-year term.
The President and Vice President shall serve a single six-year term. No person may serve more than once in either office.Section 4. No loopholes, no musical chairs.
Service in any federal elected office counts toward the limit in all others. No resignation, appointment, or succession resets the clock.
Section 5. Immediate effect.
Applies to all persons elected or appointed after ratification. Incumbents finish current terms only.
Section 6. Enforcement.
Any violation voids the election or appointment. Taxpayers have standing to sue.
