Candidates follow a true leader....

When President Bush pushed big tax breaks through Congress in 2001 and 2003, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) joined Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) and other Democrats in opposing them as fiscally reckless. But now that McCain and Clinton are running for president, neither is looking to get rid of the cuts. Instead, they are arguing over which ones to keep.

The same is true of Clinton's rival for the Democratic nomination, Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.), who recently blamed the Bush tax cuts for driving the nation toward recession. But he, too, wants to preserve about half the cuts, and pile on new ones.

Amazing how the mantra has changed, especially from the Democrats....

Those evil Bush tax cuts are now in....Bush the visionary.....:pke:

That's right! Bravo!

You hear that everyone? McCain is following the visionary leadership of George W. Bush, and will continue his policies.

In case you missed it....

Considering the fact that half the cuts went to the ultra-rich, you're analysis that he wants to keep half of them is spot on.

You're almost right....

except to rich got a smaller % cut than the rest....granted, more dollars because they pay more dollars....but thats how progressive taxes work...ah..thats probably too deep for you pinheads...

Lip service is the only tool for people that don't actually do anything. obamie the commie can say anything he wants at this time. He can even copy Palin word for word---and it is not going to do him much good. People don't trust him, and for good reason. he talks and talks, shoots a few staples in a telephone poll--but he has no track record, and no integrity--other than ripping America down.

Not one of you goofy liberials have taken me up on my bet on who the American people will elect. Ya just keep talking, and like obamie the commie--ya got no game.

Fact is, half the DOLLARS from the tax cut went to the ultra-rich. Which is all that matters. Do you think I didn't understand that?

I will bet you 40-60 (in favor of McCain) that Obama will win.

Well ... it IS the Democrats turn.....

Its seldom, very seldom that one party keeps the presidency for more than 8 years....

Its happened, but its rare.....

What did I miss ? Hillary is running for president ?

or is that not what the opening post in this thread said ?

Is "true leader" in this title really supposed to refer to the blithering flunkie who has failed in every aspect of the Presidency over the past 7 or so years?

Really?

I do understand that--that is the corruption part of capatolism in this country IMO. Tax cuts also usually mean more taxes somewhere else. Not really cuts, but more of shifting the burdon to others.
