Trump "saves" 1000 jobs in Indiana and the right wing portrays it as if it is the next Louisiana Purchase. Truth be known, Pense had the power to do the exact same thing a year ago, it's the State of Indiana who is providing the carrot in tax breaks, whole event was orchestrated and now the right wing media is serving as the amplifier

Get use it, seeing they now have to defend their guy, everything he does or say even the disastrous will be framed as "making America great"

Two can play this game. Partisans like archives and Zappa had no problem celebrating the jobs "saved" by the stimulus and auto bailouts are now complaining about the same thing happening for this company.

Exactly, he didn't even do anything, the State of Indiana is the vehicle that drove the settlement, and who is the current Governor of Indiana? As I said, orchestrated, Indiana could done it a year ago but being a red state they weren't big on tax freebies as incentives, now why do you suppose that changed?

Once again, you read what you wanted to read, never said the saved jobs were bad, rather that they are hardly worth the acclaim the right wing media is portraying them, and given that the exact same deal was always in the State of Indiana's power, it makes you wonder why now when they could have done it a year ago
 
for whatever reason it wasn't done a year ago..perhaps Trump becoming POTUS or Pence VP "concentrated the mind"of Carrier?
I haven't seen the coverage. it's the fact that we are actually doing something about outsourcing for once might be causing the hoopla
 
Only the left believes the lie....that not paying taxes is like stealing...when in reality that money belongs to one's that earned it in the first place...the thievery takes place by the Government which has "NOTHING" that it does not take/steal from the PEOPLE/STATES. Not paying taxes is a good thing in a free and liberated capitalist nation...that money stays in the private sector and allows that business to spend it how they will (not how left wing nuts wants to spend it on cell phones for the hood, studying the mating habits of earthworms...etc.) like creating more jobs in allowing the people to EARN even more money.

Indeed its a most difficult thing to "give" someone something they already possess....their own wealth.
 
Really? So the fact that Trump saved 1000 jobs that Pence all along had the power to save is big news? Is saving 1000 jobs in the grand scheme of things even worth reporting ? There are communities all over the Nation, even yours probably within the last couple of years, that do the exact same thing via the same type tax incentives and it never makes the news, so why now?

Wow, where did this one come from? First off, someone in the State of Indiana has to make up the millions budgeted into the State budget that is now going to be missing cause Carries got deal on taxes

And even Adam Smith would disagree with you, he saw the need for taxation to support the structure

What it is being done is minimal, read the reports, Carrier is still closing a nearby plant and moving it to Mexico

pence one year ago had no power to threaten their defense contracts.

Obama could have saved these jobs at any time. He just didnt care to.
