The former boyfriend of a woman who accused Herman Cain of an unwanted sexual advance in the late 1990s came forward Monday to support the woman's statement that she and Mr. Cain knew each other.
Victor Zuckerman, a Shreveport, La., pediatrician, said at a news conference that he and his then-girlfriend, Sharon Bialek, met Mr. Cain at the National Restaurant Association's annual convention in Chicago in 1997.
He said Mr. Cain invited them to a private party, where he "engaged both of us in conversation.''
