On Jan 6 Trump told his people to "fight like hell because if you don't fight you're not going to have a country anymore." It was that phrase "fight like hell" that caused the press to accuse trump of calling for insurrection. But now the press is cheering when newsom says the same thing

may 2 2022 California Gov. Gavin Newsom said, “we are going to fight like hell,” after the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade was leaked on Monday evening.

After Politico reported on an initial draft written by Justice Samuel Alito that signaled the Court would overturn the landmark abortion case, Newsom promised “fury” and pledged to “fight like hell.”

“Our daughters, sisters, mothers, and grandmothers will not be silenced,” Newsom tweeted. The world is about to hear their fury. California will not sit back. We are going to fight like hell.”

This is a great place to remember that California long ago decided that they should get the right to control the rest of the nation, for instance through their egg and auto regulations.

The propagandists in the media were and are working diligently to deceive and confuse the weak minded. They were quick to distort that comment from Trump and to also ignore that it's a very common phrase from politicians.

What happened on 1/6 was a demonstration gone wrong. The propagandists were propagandizing with only one goal in mind: They were working AGAIN to deceive the weak minded.

Those who were deceived by their efforts, in this case, were revealed in real time to be weak minded.

Those who are STILL deceived are apparently incapable of being ashamed by their own stupidity.

I agree, politicians should strike the phrase from their vocabulary given current conditions in this country. It insights the crazies.

If the words "fight like Hell" or forms similar to it were never used before Trump used them, you might have a case.

They were commonly used and overused by politicians before 1/6.

The difference is the press is not composed of morons. People there, and elsewhere who feel the same way, easily understand the meaning of "fight like hell" in this context to exclude engaging in treason against the government.
