Bush's 9-year war to finally end this year

Obama just announced full withdrawal of troops by year's end.

The lesson, after 9 years, thousands of casualties, hundreds of thousands displaced, and trillions spent? War is a last resort...always. As long as there are any options on the table, you do not commit forces.

And, as a reminder, Hans Blix told Congress in March of 2003 that inspectors had access to ALL suspected weapons sites. Had they been allowed to continue, they would have discovered what it just took a painful 9-year commitment to find out: there were no WMD's.

Bush did not learn from LBJ's mistake with Vietnam. You cannot lie to the American public and expect them to support you or your cause. He will be ridiculed down through history for that.

At least LBJ had the courtesy to look troubled & haunted after he left the Presidency. It always bothers me to see Bush at a Rangers game yucking it up w/ Nolan Ryan.

I don't think he even gives it a thought, these days...

Good to see Bush III following more of Bush II's plan.

Right continue with the hackness, remember Obama has said Afghanistan was a just war from day 1.

Afghanistan is a different story. That conflict & the drug thing are 2 of the biggest reasons I won't be voting for Obama.

But Iraq was a friggin' mess, that we made. I thought we could get out of it somewhat earlier, but I never thought that Obama could just withdraw all troops in '09 or even '10. Would have been completely irresponsible.

1) You idiots blame Bush for everything.
2) Its all Obama's fault.
3) If Bush had a third term it would have been over three years ago.
4) Its dangerous for Obama to end it now, you will see, civil war will erupt.
5) Its been over since "Mission Accomplished"
6) What about Afganistan.

Looks like Jarod is on another nonsensical rambling binge....

Other than it's brilliant residual success in Egypt, Libya, and soon to be other nations (as in within 20-50 years). It's almost too brilliant and long term to have come from an American politician.

President Clinton was attacked for accomplishing regime change in Haitti without losing a single American life.
President Obama was attacked for accomplishing regime change in Libya without losing a single American life.
President Bush was praised for accomplishing regime change in Iraq after 4,400 deaths and untold dollars.

Yeah, ignore all those rebels who had been fighting for months before Obama took note. Or NATO, who pushed us to get involved. Or the EGYPTIAN government who were the first to explicitly support their brothers. Obama making a couple speeches and firing some excess cruise missiles=WORLD FUCKING PEACE.

More nonsense from Jarod.

Since congress voted to invade, why do you persist in calling it "Bush's war". Propaganda.

LOL - I'd love to see the 'resolution to invade'.

What's hilarious about you guys is that for months after Saddam's statue fell, and Bush spoke in front of the "mission accomplished" banner, all we heard was that Democrats were on the 'wrong side of history,' and would forever be marked as weak because of their stance against invasion.

Now, it's all "the Dems forced his hand by voting to invade!" Pretty damned funny, if it wasn't so tragic...
