Bungling Biden's DEMOCRAT-dominated Congress continues to allocate funds to produce weapons that the Pentagon itself says it doesn't need, and he won't use.

The extra deficit spending, we are told, would "fund more weapons to better prepare us to respond to aggression in a world that looks increasingly dangerous". Really?

Providing military defense is a valid function of the federal government. However, that doesn't give license to Bungling Biden's DEMOCRAT-dominated Congress to simply pile on more spending.

More spending will not result in a completely safe world for Americans. That's because that world doesn't exist.

In fiscal year 2023, the United States was already expected to spend more than $770 billion on national defense.

This is more than the next 10 countries spend combined.

  • Russia, for instance, spends close to $62 billion.
  • France and Germany spend almost $53 billion each.
  • Assuming China's numbers are accurate, it spends $252 billion.
When considering how much more money bungling Bides and his defense stock-owning Congressional cohorts think is worth spending, keep in mind that not every additional dollar of military spending will result in enhanced national security.

That's because government intentions do not equal results. Elected officials and bureaucrats have weak incentives to sensibly manage tax dollars.

They are not rewarded for maximizing taxpayer value, nor are they punished for unnecessary expenditures.

In addition, in bungling Biden's woke American dystopia, leftist interest groups often drive political decisions that run counter to the best interest of the public.

Prices at the pump were rising long before Russia invaded Ukraine.

“Americans have never seen gasoline prices this high, nor have we seen the pace of increases so fast and furious. That combination makes this situation all the more remarkable and intense, with crippling sanctions on Russia curbing their flow of oil, leading to the massive spike in the price of all fuels: gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and more,” Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, said in a statement. “It’s a dire situation and won’t improve any time soon. The high prices are likely to stick around for not days or weeks, like they did in 2008, but months. GasBuddy now expects the yearly national average to rise to its highest ever recorded.”

De Haan said "forget the $4 per gallon mark. We’ve never been in this situation before, with this level of uncertainty. Americans will be feeling the pain of the rise in prices for quite some time".
