Why would such a corrupt body attempt to cleanse itself, maggot ?
It might just be a nod to your hero, Sleepy Joe. He couldn't stop whining about Pelosi, could he? Now, the Republicans are playing the same tune because they can, and guess what? It'll hurt the Dems far more than the GOP. You'll deny it, being the programmed drone you are, but if you had half a brain, you'd dig into how many of your "heroes" in Congress turned into multi-millionaires overnight without ever creating a job or selling a product. Hmmm, what a mystery.

That would not be possible.

You are just full of things that did not happen.

Your suggested bill would be unworkable. If you happened to have a parent who was a member of Congress, you would be banned from all stock trading. It would be impossible to have a retirement fund. Huge number of jobs would be illegal.

The best you could do is some sort of disclosure.

Several bills have been introduced with bipartisan support aimed at prohibiting such trading activities. For instance, the TRUST Act, which would require members of Congress, their spouses, and dependents to place certain investments into blind trusts, has been reintroduced, showing ongoing legislative interest. Additionally, there has been public sentiment and discussions reflecting this movement toward a ban, with recent reports highlighting that such legislation could be imminent. However, as with all legislative processes, the final passage of such a bill depends on numerous factors including political will, public pressure, and the specifics of the legislative session.
