BP deserves some credit here

They may wind up being criminally negligent, in fact I think they will.
Having said that, I can't recall a corporation stepping up exponetially over what it's mandated by law to do. Union carbides payments in India are like a pimple on BP's and thousands died in that accident. One could easily argue from a fiduciary perspective they should have stuck to 75M cap.
Beautifull first step on the right track BP.:clink:

I eagerly await the leaked benefits that BP will be awarded for this 'stepping up'.

Considering the ineptitude and negligence that caused this fiasco, I can't give them much credit.

Whatever they are doing above what is mandated is simply a PR move.

They spread their cheeks way too easily. Let's wait and have a look at what Obama is sticking up their ass. He talks a big game, but who knows how much of that 20B reaches the riff raff on the beaches.

Aww you had to make it personal. LOl

I know bama is way less affected than South La, I'm telling you the news here will welcome the fuck out of each of the 20B's.:clink:

Oh I agree that the $20 billion is a great thing. I think BP should be held liable for what they did.

I am just not going to say $20 billion will get them off the hook.

Louisianna has been hit hardest, but the Alabama coast has lost tons of revenue from tourism and fishing. And the beaches from Mobile Bay eastward are amoung the most beautiful in the world.

As far as I understand the 75 Million cap does not apply if it was caused from neglect, which it seems to be the case.

Saying that I give Obama and BP credit for the escrow fund, it was the obvious thing to do.
