Boris Johnson compares the EU's ambition for a superstate to HITLER

Boris may not have chosen his words a little more carefully but he did no more than refer to historic facts. A European Economic Market was thought up by members of the Nazi party during WW2. Germany, yes Germany, and France stitched up one for themselves while De Gaulle kept Britain out of it. British people voted in favour of joining the EEC, not The United States of Europe. There is nothing to stop Britain co-operating with Europe and vis-a-vis while Britain is independent from the EU. I don't like conspiracy theories but there is an interesting question being asked. Britain was almost bankrupted by WW2. WW2 saw the destruction of Germany's industrial base. How did it manage to rebuild that base so quickly and then become the most powerful nation in Europe?

Boris Johnson today compared the superstate goal of the EU to Adolf Hitler's dream of a Nazi European empire. In an incendiary new escalation of an increasingly bitter referendum campaign, the ex-London Mayor said the attempt by Brussels Eurocrats to create a superstate would 'end tragically'. The Vote Leave champion said attempts to impose a single European identity across the continent had been tried and failed for 2,000 years.

Boris Johnson, speaking at a Vote Leave rally this weekend, said Brussels officials were similar to Hitler in trying to impose a European superstate

About his level. Turks have problems understanding Europe.
You make me laugh Taffy, do you think that you're the only one that can make Hitler comparisons? At least Tony Benn and Michael Foot were honest about wanting to get out, you mate Corbyn has taken an effing vow of silence on the issue.

Well, my government spent a lot of money rebuilding Doucheland after the war. That's probably a big reason why the Krauts recovered their industrial base so quickly. Meanwhile, we took over for you in Greece and Turkey, but, I've never read much about our spending a lot of capital on Britain relative to the Continent, and to the Marshall Plan...
