Border Patrol chief departs agency

Border Patrol chief departs agency

he chief of US Border Patrol has departed the agency, Customs and Border Protection said in a statement Thursday -- the day after President Donald Trump signed executive orders aimed at beefing up border security.

It was not clear whether he had resigned or was asked to leave.

Border Patrol Chief Mark Morgan's departure is not uncommon in a presidential transition. The head of the Transportation Security Administration, Peter Neffenger, also left in the transfer of power. He had been willing to stay on, but the Trump administration had not asked him to until he had already made other plans.

I bet he was asked to leave. The chief, who knows more about border issues than Trump, probably quit. If he did, shame on him, if he was let go, shame on Trump.

Don't look now, but seasoned and experienced people in critical positions are walking away with the quickness. Many will be hard to replace .. particularly given they'll have to pass Trump's ideology test.

Trump makes all manner of people just want to run away from him .. want nothing to do with him.

:0) This is going really well.
