Remember when the NY Times carried Judith Miller's reporting that lead up to the invasion of Iraq? They treated it like gospel truth, with little to no back checking. However, numerous "alternative" (now known as progressives) told another tale, along with some independent investigative reporters and foreign news services. Eventually, Miller was exposed as a fraud, and the NYT's credibility took a hit.

ALL THIS WAS AFTER YEARS OF THE RIGHT WING PUNDITS AND POLITICIANS CATEGORIZING THE NYT AS A LIBERAL BIASED PAPER.
