Bin Laden death sparks new talk over Patriot Act

How do you know anything at all about how effective the Patriot Act has been? Are you with the CIA? Do you have access to classified national security information? What basis do you form your opinion on?

One critical mistake pinheads are making here, Osama Bin Laden was NOT the entire threat from radical Islam. Killing the figurehead leader of alQaeda was indeed GOOD... but it isn't the end of the war on terror, and it's not the end to the threat the Islamists pose. Fail to understand that, and you make us all vulnerable and at grave risk. I think you are just that stupid, I don't think you've ever grasped the threat, even when OBL was alive and kicking, and things like this only help to confirm my beliefs.

Again, all I am hearing is idiots yammering a bunch of nonsense they can't possibly even know, and spewing the same emotive bullshit they have from the start. We know for a FACT that the Patriot Act is directly responsible for our intelligence stopping several terror attacks in the UK and US. If it saved one innocent life, it was worth it, in my opinion.

I tell ya what... let's get rid of the granny groping at the airports first? There's something that is totally ineffective, hasn't ever stopped a terrorist, and violates the ever-living fuck out of our Constitutional rights. If we are truly SAFE now that OBL is dead, let's stop the sexual molestation program being run by the TSA!

Last I checked, the Patriot Act doesn't nullify the Constitution, and I believe the Supreme Court upheld the Constitutionality of the Patriot Act when challenged. So why don't you stop it with the overblown rhetoric here? Make your case, or go the fuck away, troll!

the patriot does indeed violate some parts of the US Constitution, and lets dispense with the so called constitutionality of laws simply because the USSC says so. They've made many bad decisions that totally conflict with the constitution.
