Bill Nye admits that climate change crusade has failed

Speaking with Salon’s Jeremy Binckes, the “Science Guy” declared: “I am a failure.”

Nye talks a scientific game, but the biggest scientific accomplishment atop his resume is a 1990s kids TV show about science.

He does not hold a degree in a scientific field. Rather, he has a mechanical engineering degree from Cornell.

His most recent show, which appeared on Netflix, received poor reviews. It contained hardly any science and mostly propagated 'progressive' politics and cultural ideas.

Engineering is science. But that doesn't make a mechanical engineer qualified outside his area of expertise.

Nye had a pretty good run with his kid's show. I think he enriched the lives of many nerdy kids, because he made it cool to be smart again. Too bad he tried to use his talent as a political tool, against logic and common sense.
 
This destroys the liberal narrative that you have to be a climatologist in order to accurately predict the weather 100 years from now. :palm:

Climate and weather aren't the same.

The trouble with climate alarmism is lack of evidence. The warmists base their claims on projections derived from computer models designed by people who get paid to gin up fear about climate change.

That's like predicting that Hillary will be elected because some partisan pollster said so.

While climate does not have a definitive definition, it is generally accepted to be at least 30 years worth of weather. So the distinction is only determined by the amount of time the weather lasts. The labels are flexible as we see the Socialists often cite weather as climate ... when convenient ... to frighten their brainless, easily manipulated, greedy leftwing dupes.
