Top Intel Republican says Biden's slow response to Zelenskyy 'has cost Ukrainian lives'

Ukrainians have died because the Biden administration has been slow to provide weapons and supplies to the country's forces as it fights against Russia, the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee told Fox News.

"The Biden administration certainly needs to step up," U.S. Rep. Mike Turner of Ohio said. "Although they have been publicly making statements of commitments to give Ukraine the tools and weapons to defend themselves, they've been very slow to do so.

"That, of course, has cost Ukrainian lives," he continued.


Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed Congress on Wednesday and reiterated his request for a no-fly zone and additional military equipment. Later in the day, President Biden announced the U.S. would send an additional $800 million in military aid for Ukrainian forces to continue fighting the Russian invasion.

Two months ago, conservative posters were calling Biden a war monger for stating that Russia was preparing an invasion.

Biden was sending Javelin missiles and military aid months ago, before the invasion, at a time when Deplorables were calling Biden a war monger and were dismissing US Intel assessments

Bull. Before the invasion they were saying that the sanctions need to hit before the invasion to hopefully deter the attack... Biden slow walked this one saying that it was a better deterrent to keep threatening but not actually doing any sanctions...

'They cannot possibly win!' Marjorie Taylor Greene says Ukraine should give up as she decries more US military aid

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Wednesday slammed President Joe Biden for sending more military aid to Ukraine, and said that things would be better off if Ukrainians just gave up their efforts to resist the Russian invasion.

In a Facebook address to her supporters, Greene laid out the case against helping the Ukrainians with more weapons.

"If we truly care about suffering and death on our television screens, we cannot fund more of it by sending money and weaponry to fight a war they cannot possibly win!" she said. "The only effect of more arms and more money from America will be to prolong the war!"

Greene went on to say that America was giving Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his people "false hope about a war they can't win."

Indeed.

Slow Joe slow walked the sanctions and the invasion was on.

The “threat” of sanctions did not stop Putin. Biden has not been right on a foreign policy decision for 40 years.

Indecision, slow thinking and slow acting...hence...Slow Joe.

Just repeating something doesn't make it real, Cypress. On this board folks were upset that he was dragging his feet. I know because I was one of them. I noted that threatening sanctions was not working and that he should sanction before they invade and lift them if they acted like a responsible citizen. Folks told me that Brandon said they wouldn't be a "deterrent" then....

Instead Brandon has used sanctions as a punishment rather than as a deterrent and we are watching folks die because Brandon thinks that doing nothing is a deterrent and that punishment is also a deterrent. Waiting until there was no going back, Brandon once again was late to the party.

Look. I like that we are arming the Ukraine, but we aren't doing enough and keep telling our enemies that all you need to make us do what you want us to is to threaten nuclear suicide. We should not have feared letting Ukrainian pilots fly some planes into Ukraine airspace. Why Mig 29s? Because that is what they know how to fly.

Just in the past two weeks, right here on your board, I have debated some of your fellow MAGA fans who suggest the fight is hopeless for Ukraine and they should just give up.

One of MAGA's favorite congressional reps, Marjorie Taylor Green, just Tweeted yesterday that Ukraine's resistance is futile and we should stop wasting our money arming them.

The world knows that Slow Joe was late with his response to Putin’s invasion. It did NOT stop the invasion. Another failure by this sleepy president. Thousands have died, women and children, because Slow Joe is...SLOW.

Awww.... It's cute you think that "most" people among "MAGA" are in the 3% of America who seem to support Russia. It doesn't make you right, but it is cute.

The reality is: only 3% of America think we are "doing too much" to help Ukraine, this supposed support for Russia is non-existent. You may be talking to some folks on this site saying something you think is stupid (how is that different than Tuesday?)... but it really is not that "most folks on the right" believed that Brandon was a "warmonger"... that's just you saying stupid stuff. I believe even you are smarter than that.

Most folks in this nation, including left and right, believe that Brandon isn't doing enough. They also believe that Brandon was late, it is why he is getting no 'Zelensky bounce'...

And Trump sold them Javelin years before the Democrats. In fact the Democrats opposed Trump selling Javelins to the Ukrainians. Trump was right again. Glad you guys finally came around.

To be honest, we are probably better served by Slow Joe being in Delaware eating ice cream in his basement, daily.

His foreign (and domestic) policies suck.

Out of control gas prices, groceries, crime, the border, Ukraine...no sterling successes anywhere.
