The poll also shows Trump holding a 16-point advantage over Biden on being competent and effective, a reversal from 2020, when Biden was ahead of Trump on this quality by 9 points before defeating him in that election.

In the end, I overestimated the turn out. Biden got about 116,000 votes out of about 1.5 million registered Democrats in S. Carolina for just under 7% of the possible voter base. Even Democrat leadership is saying the turnout was underwhelming.
