Mexicans can not even immediately apply for sanctuary, that is the reason that Mexicans are not a major problem on our Mexican border. I know you do not know the difference between Mexicans and Central Americans, but there is a difference.

Most people from Central America are stepping over the border, and applying for sanctuary. They are not getting smuggled over the border. There is very few people going completely over the border, and in fact, there has been net negative illegal migration from Mexico in the last 20 years.

Ukrainians are looking for some sort of legal status, even more than Central Americans.
