Biden Says U.S. Military Would Defend Taiwan if China Invaded

TOKYO — President Biden indicated on Monday that he would use military force to defend Taiwan if it were ever attacked by China, dispensing with the “strategic ambiguity” traditionally favored by American presidents in outlining what the United States would do in such a volatile scenario.

At a news conference with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida of Japan during a visit to Tokyo, Mr. Biden suggested that he would be willing to go further on behalf of Taiwan than he has in helping Ukraine fend off Russian invaders.

“You didn’t want to get involved in the Ukraine conflict militarily for obvious reasons,” a reporter said to Mr. Biden. “Are you willing to get involved militarily to defend Taiwan if it comes to that?”

“Yes,” Mr. Biden answered flatly.

“You are?” the reporter followed up.

“That’s the commitment we made,” he said.

As everyone knows I am in no way a supporter of Joe Biden,....to say the least. :laugh: But......Biden was 100% absolutely CORRECT in saying what he said. Fuck china and the horse they rode in on. If they want to start shit then blood is what they will get. Even if it means nuking them back into cave man status.
 
They are mostly a paper dragon anyway. If they invade Taiwan their armed forces will die there by the tens of thousands. The loss of men and material and the disgrace of it all will set them back decades. They wont invade Taiwan. They dont have the balls to.

I would support the U.S. coming to Taiwan's aid if China attacks them?!! Taiwan would be a technology prize for China, which they would use in weapons developments against us and others?!! And if the U.S. did nothing in defense of Taiwan, it would embolden China to attack other countries in the region?!! Of course if Trump or a Trumpian person is president again, as in a nationalist/isolationist, Taiwan and other countries in the region, would be toast?!!
