Bernie Sanders - College or Jail

40% of Americans of 'working' age have at least a two year college degree. Are the rest all in jail or were headed that way? I think college is very important but the reality is school and college aren't for everybody. Not everyone is going to graduate college and it doesn't mean they have nothing to live for or can expect to be in jail.

‏@SenSanders At the end of the day, providing a path to go to college is a helluva lot cheaper than putting people on a path to jail.

I think college is important but it's not totally necessary for someone to have in order to be successful. One of my older brothers decided not to go to college and instead is growing his own business right now going around clearing and cutting fields with his tractors and maintaining peoples land and he is making really good money from it which is helping him buy new equipment, new tractors, and things like that and he loves it and doesnt think twice about college. For me I know what I want to do for a living but in order for me to be as successful as I want to be I need to understand the business side of agriculture and so that's what i'm in school for so that it will make me more well rounded as I grow up. Other than that there are things like trade schools to where people can learn a trade or craft that they could use in the real world too. There are alot of options besides a traditional four year university in my mind but you do have to have a drive for whatever it is that you want out of life since it wont be given to you.

Tradesmen are vital and the pay is good.
But you still have to be literate, able to do math, communicate and knowing science helps a lot.
Pull the pants up, graduate and mind your manners
