Ukrainian Railways Chief Says 'Honest' Belarusians Are Cutting Russian Supplies By Train

There is currently no rail traffic from Belarus into Ukraine, and Russia is not using the railways between the two countries to bolster its invasion force in Ukraine, according to the head of the Ukrainian state railway.

“I recently appealed to Belarusian railway workers not to carry out criminal orders and not transport Russian military forces in the direction of Ukraine,” Oleksandr Kamyshin, director of the Ukrzaliznytsya state railroad, told Current Time.

"At the present moment, I can say that there is no railway connection between Ukraine and Belarus. I cannot discuss details, but I am grateful to Belarus’s railway workers for what they are doing,” he said.

I suppose a lot of people in that region are shocked that a former brotherhood of East Slavs are killing each other. There are not there clear, distinct boundaries between these nationalities: my Grandfather was born in Belarus, raised by relatives in Smolensk, Russia, and he had an uncle who was a priest in Kyiv.

This war is almost fratricidal.

The war was instigated by US war machine policy. Eventually there will be a peace agreement very similar to what NATO signed after the 2014 US led coup in Ukraine.

It's been my impression about the region that the boundaries have been fluid over the centuries, with territories/names switching around, and families moving from one to another. So yes, it's almost like a civil war. :(

There isn't a single, solitary thing NATO did that forced Vlad to shell hospitals, bomb schools, and reduce Ukrainian cities to smouldering piles of rubble.

Putin will end up getting almost everything NATO agreed to after the US backed coup in Ukraine. The entire racket is about arms sales to eastern Europe.

NATO is a petty grudge for Putin.

Putin considers Ukraine a fake, illegitimate nation which rightly belongs to a 21st century Russian empire either as a province or a vassal state. Russia's attacks on Georgia, Crimea, and Ukraine proper have almost nothing to do with NATO

You've been watching too much msnbc. The US led coup in Ukraine was supposed to be resolved with the Minsk agreements but the US continued to send Ukraine missiles to provoke Russia. The world is tired of the US bully causing problems to sell more weapons. How much are you willing to spend on war machine profits?
