He is currently tanking, it reminds me of when Bush, Sr. beat Dukakis. Until the convention they were neck and neck, Dukakis a bit ahead. They had the conventions... Bush got a bounce, then the photo in the tank and Dukakis never recovered.

I think the attack on the Kahn's was Trumps "photo in the tank", but we will see.

It is absolutely possible for Trump to come back, especially if HRC makes some stupid error.

In typical MSM fashion, they turned a purposeful blind eye to the Khan man's background or that 'issue' might have swung the other way.

Which is entirely Trumps fault for 'going after' [if you can even call it that] Mrs Khan instead of saying 'well, K. Khan has an interest in EB5's, so I'll take his criticism with a grain of salt'.

That would have put Hillary's army of media hacks on the defensive and it would have played out totally different.

As it turned out, it was perfect for the Clinton campaign: they painted Trump as a terrible ogre and deflected from Hillary's myriad issues all at once.

Right out of the playbook.

It wasn't just the media. Republicans were disgusted w/ Trump also.

Trump should have just let Khan speak. It never would have been a story. You didn't see Hillary going after the Benghazi mom who spoke at the GOP convention & making a big story out of it.

Clearly the better option. But he could have turned it around on the Democrats if he would have had somebody do a Google search on Khan instead of shooting from the hip.
