Today is Ash Wednesday according to the christian calendar....


If it's according to christian calendar why are we observing a day named after a germanic saxon god?


Anyway Woden has never done anything for me, we dont even have a Woden temple or church here so I think I'll just stay as I was - just me with no obligations to any but my fellow humans. It's nicer that way.
 
I know you were trying and failing to be funny, but just an FYI... they're not celebrating Wednesday.

I said 'observing', I did not say 'celebrating'. Wednesday is observed as is Ash Wednesday, Tuesday and Shrove Tuesday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Adjectives Ash, Shrove, Good, Easter modifying their respective nouns.
Oh, Damo, as the one person on this forum completely devoid of any trace of a sense of humour it does not stand to you to criticise my somewhat tongue in cheek comments.
