Are Republicans worthy to lead a country as great as America?

The people who founded this country put everything on the line. Not their political careers - their lives, and the lives of their family. Everything.

Today's GOP, by comparison, is running scared from the idea of a negative tweet, and the fear that standing up for what is right might cost them a few votes.

There is no evidence of fraud. We have a President-elect who looks to have 306 electoral votes (a massive landslide, as described by the current President in 2016), and OVER FIVE MILLION MORE VOTES nationally.

And this refusal to accept reality is doing damage to our country right now. Without evidence, Trump is delaying a crucial transition - at a time of pandemic, he is putting our health and national security at great risk.

All for ego - nothing else. Because, as we know, this is a "man" who cannot accept loss. That's it.

Be better, GOP. Choose country over cult, and truth over lies. Don't be afraid of a few bad tweets.

America stopped being a great country some time ago...WAKE UP!

By my estimation we have been on the decline since at least 1957.

Wtf?! What exactly do you think George Washington would do with Chuck Schumer and Joe Biden?
Do you think he'd let them live? I do not!
Maybe Joe would live, but Chuck would be strung up.

The whole grovelling at Trump's feet for four years has soured me on the GOP. And the way McConnel ran the Impeachment hearings and not calling witnesses really burned me up. The GOP needs new leadership other than Graham, McConnell, Goetz, Cruz, Kennedy, Nunes before I consider voting for any candidate with an (R) after their name.

I’ll bite. Why 1957?

We got fat and sloppy after WW2, the story of our decline maps onto the known history of the decline of civilizations very well. But that also means that we should have seen it coming and taken action, but we never did, even after the chaos of the 1960's, which is rather stunning negligence.

Now it is too late I think....the future is Chinese.

EDIT: THere is also the matter of societal PTSD...After the 1-2 punch of the Depression and WW2 our nerves were shot....FantasyLand began to look appealing.

Take the best Chinese socket you can find to a 1971 Ford transmission bolt and let me know how that works fer ya.

It worked out for me with a sliced knuckle.

We have had this discussion already.

It might be the 1-2-3 punch of WW1-Depression-WW2.

They still do not make adequate tools. And-?
Chinese do steel like ass.
Hierarchy of steel making:

Germany>US>Canada>Japan>Korea>China>Haiti

They can build things almost as good as we can, cheaper and in much greater quantity....their tools are fine.
