This may be a partisan rant but I'll say it anyway. First off, I fully acknowledge there is a right-wing echo chamber. I just find it highly ironic that people who read the NY Times, listen to NPR, watch MSNBC, watch Colbert, Kimmell, the Daily Show and SNL complaining about others living in an echo chamber while never acknowledging their own.

Well I feel it's a Citizens duty to read both or listen to both or watch both. I do. news nation is a Centrist source CNN has a lot of Republicans on it now they're trying to be in the center. MSNBC has several Republicans but they tend to caucus with the Democrats against Trump and I think it's appropriate because I can't believe any true Republican would support Trump -- the guy's a demagogue and the smart Republicans know it and those with integrity stand by their convictions. Things would really smooth out and return to normal when Trump vanishes from the scene-- until then the body politic is infested with Trumpism.

You must be speaking of MSNBC, CNN, CBS, PBS, NBC and ABC. I don't even think their news is occasional. It's nearly non-existent.

CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC and NBC all played up these lies for months, even years. When the moment of truth came for each topic, those fake news networks were all proven false. Their inflated fake news propaganda turned out to be all lies.

There is a reason why Fox News ratings skyrocket above the others: Its because they tell the truth. People know truth when they hear it. MSNBC and CNN’s ratings have sunk and they lost al viewer trust.

MSNBC and CNN suffered a sharp drop in viewership in the second quarter of 2021, with MSNBC averaging 847,000 viewers and CNN at 654,000, compared to Fox News’ 1.2 million. The decline was due to a serious credibility problem caused by their heavy reliance on anti-Trump narratives during his presidency. Once Trump left office, these networks struggled to maintain audience interest, as their viewership was largely driven by “Trump hatred” rather than loyalty to their hosts or content.

Example: MSNBC, CNN, The Washington Post, and Reuters published unverified claims from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Ministry without disclosing its terrorist affiliations, implying a pattern of irresponsible reporting. Additionally, these networks pushed debunked narratives, such as those related to the Steele dossier or Hunter Biden’s laptop, which eroded their viewers' trust. Many viewers turned to alternatives like Newsmax or OANN, which saw significant viewership spikes (e.g., Newsmax’s 497% increase post-2020 election) when audiences felt MSNBC and CNN were not reporting objectively.

In the last 2024 election, fake news networks reached a new low by constant fear mongering, Trump is Hitler, Trump will destroy democracy . . . that's not news, and people know it.
