So are Trumppers who claim Trumps gag order is unconstitutional saying conditions on pretrial release are unconstitutional?

Does the constitution require unconditional release?

I thought just a few months ago y’all were bitching about big cities doing away with pretrial detention.

If it’s unconstitutional to limit speech it must be unconstitutional to limit freedom, right?

Trump is a danger to the community.

I believe that gag orders might be constitutionally iffy,

but I understand why they're tolerated.

People believe, or are at least influenced by,

any shit that they hear or read,

regardless of the source.

Even the fucking internet and social media!!!!

If most people were as cynical as they need to be,
gag orders wouldn't be necessary.

Why would a gag order be unconstitutional yet holding someone pending trial not be?

Is he violent? Please dont try the, he said he could shoot someone bullshit, answer the question. The constitution is becoming increasingly irrelevant.

gag orders on high profile cases have been ordered and enforced for years, if not decades........I see zero reason why this one shouldn't be allowed as well

So is it okay to take away someone's freedom pre-trial?

The gag order on Trump is an unconstitutional restriction of Free Speech. Judges aren't allowed to violate the Constitution. The judge also can't jail Trump to shut down his free speech. I don't like a lot of what liberals say but the government should not restrict their right to say them and the government should not jail them to prevent them from saying the thing that I don't want to hear. You are just another crappy ambulance chaser that wants to ignore the Constitution.

So can a Judge order someone who "allegedly" shot up a crowd of people to go without his right to bear arms, pending trial?

If you are taking away their freedom to prevent free speech then no it is not OK. /thread

So, is it okay to prevent prisoners from bearing arms?

Is it okay to prevents prisoners from giving interviews or speaking out from prison?

Why is speech more special than liberty??

Yes they can if there is adequate proof. The SCOTUS has ruled on the free speech issue . And the first amendment may not be abridged to protect government officials. Trump can hurt poor little Jack Smith's felling and it is OK. :(

So why is speech different? Who decides adequate proof, we have a right to a jury trial... Are you saying constitutional rights can be limited?
