WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump portrays the hundreds of people arrested nationwide in protests against racial injustice as violent urban left-wing radicals. But an Associated Press review of thousands of pages of court documents tell a different story.

Very few of those charged appear to be affiliated with highly organized extremist groups, and many are young suburban adults from the very neighborhoods Trump vows to protect from the violence in his reelection push to win support from the suburbs.

No shocker, Trump and Barr promoted Antifa as the main scourge yet even the hundreds of arrests Barr boasted about he never identified any as being associated with Antifa

Matters little, Trump’s Law and Order campaign theme fizzled, never sold, moved on to new innuendos

Cherry picked statistics. First, they only looked at federal arrests. Second, they ignored to a good degree the overall background of the persons arrested using just the arrest information to determine status. Further, the number of arrests is miniscule compared to the number of observed protesters so you can't determine from that sample what the overall protester population looks like. Bottom line: The article is crap.

I cannot take you seriously.

The statistics are real and carefully compiled. Almost all were citizens of the area . Rightys are so conspiracy-minded that they see them everywhere. The truth comes out and the rightys simply deny it.

I don't care, and your ad hominem is irrelevant in any case. The article is crap statistics. They used a badly skewed sample of small size to make conclusions about the aggregate. It's an irrelevant appeal to numbers based on a meaningless method.

Did you even read the article? They took just federal arrests at protests as their sample. That skews things badly. Applying that to the group as a whole is meaningless when the group is far larger and more diverse than the sample used. Their statistics are crap.

Of course dumbass; they're just your average rioters, looters and arsonists who are tearing down every statue they can find. Try to be less stupid, gullible and dishonest.

Barr’s arrest were Federal (https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ba...e-than-500-investigations-of-riot-instigators), and even though he blamed Antifa, none of them were connected to Antifa (https://www.npr.org/2020/06/09/8732...-justice-department-cases-brought-over-unrest)

Like the “deep state,” urban Armageddon, caravans, and now Hunter Biden, just another promoted right wing media political conspiracy

More than 40% of those facing federal charges are white. At least 1/3 are Black, and about 6% Hispanic. More than two-thirds are under the age of 30 and most are men. More than a quarter have been charged with arson, which if convicted means a five-year minimum prison sentence.

More than a dozen are accused of civil disorder, and others are charged with burglary and failing to comply with a federal order. They were arrested in cities across the U.S., from Portland, Oregon, to Minneapolis, Boston and New York.
