Did anyone other than me actually read the article the two writers at AP produced?

Their so-called fact checking was incredibly lame. Every one of their responses to the cherry-picked claims made was a piece of intellectual vapidity. The article is from late May (May 26 to be exact). That too is problematic. The problems the writers discuss have been with us since Biden took office, and they've gotten worse not better. That is conveniently left out of their dissembling to try and excuse Biden's incompetence.

Then they discuss lumber prices but leave out that Biden--BIDEN--doubled tariffs on Canadian lumber imports. About a third of all lumber consumed in the US comes from Canada.

That means when the price of those imports goes up, the price of lumber in general goes up. That is wholly and totally Biden's fault. Yet, the so-called "fact checkers" in that article fail to mention that.

It is also true that the US lumber industry is increasingly competing with the wood pellet industry due to increasing Greentard policies here and in Europe. That too is raising the price of lumber. Biden is only partially responsible for that because his administration is Greentard friendly.

Joke has also jacked up use of ethanol as a substitute to stretch gasoline supplies. Ethanol is more expensive to produce than gasoline so that's had an effect on prices too. That too is totally Joke's fault.
