When people say we should have free college and health care, they obviously mean free for the people using them. AOC's plan is to have these things paid for through taxes on the 1%.

I read this laughably inept article and its incredibly weak premise. I still do not see a coherent argument that supports the asinine assertion that concentrated wealth is incompatible with Democracy.

Jefferson, a slave owner, was walking Europe and describing the land held wealth of Kings and Principalities.

In order to have such moronic Marxist views as AOC has, one must first believe that the economy is finite, and therefore, if someone has more, someone else has much less. But that is absurd and a lie. The economy is infinite.

Secondly, one must also believe that the wealthy here are on an unequal footing with the poor, but that too is a lie. There are thousand if not hundreds of thousands of stories of poor individuals in this country who made it BIG. Many pulled themselves up by the bootstraps form drug and alcohol abuse. Michael J Lindell comes to mind, founder of MyPillow.com.

The truth is, the playing field is equal under our laws and no one can prevent someone from starting a company and turning it into an amazing success. But it comes with very hard work, time and persistence.

Most importantly, this type of class envy is dangerous and anti-Democratic. It must argue that Government is the best arbiter of what is fair and that faceless bureaucrats who will lie and buy the votes of the uninformed are best equipped to decide who gets what in the redistribution of wealth.

History is littered with the failures of such ideologues who believe that THEY, not the people, are best equipped to decide for the rest of us. That is Fascism and Communism in its truest form.

AOC is a sad and telling testimony to how badly our liberal educational establishment is failing the citizens of this great nation. Bill Gates took NOTHING from anyone who didn't want to buy his products. As he grew to be a billionaire, he created many millionaires along with his success. That is how you make a nation great; not by allowing Fascistic Government apparatchiks interested in buying votes confiscate that wealth to win elections.

How is it free then? Would you be okay if someone knocked on your door and demanded money from you to pay for their kids education? Of course you woudn't. The only difference here, is that it is the Government knocking down your door by politicians who know they can collect the votes of low information dullards promising them something for nothing.

Who with even the smallest of brains would condone or want such a system?
