Anyone notice the pinhead threads of late?

Seems like the board is just full of pinheads wanting to talk about all kinds of trivial stuff like how many people wash their hands after going to the bathroom, or who looks in the mirror in the dark.... Near-earth asteroids... Who's hot and who's not... who's the best poster... etc. etc. etc.

Financial analysts have been concerned about our ever-growing national debt, ever since the CBO estimated it would reach nearly 100% of our GDP by 2012, but this didn't include the Medicare crisis or Fanny and Freddy bailout debt that still has to be paid, with those liabilities, our debt is set to surpass 500% of our GDP and analysts warn we are quickly approaching a point at which we can't recover. The dollar continues to decline, it is presently at an all-tme low, and no end in sight. Unemployment continues to be problematic, also with no end in sight. New housing construction and new business start ups... almost non existent. Real estate quickly becoming worthless... three wars...

Oh, but..... pay no attention to any of this, let's talk about what's your favorite movie, or what is your favorite ice cream topping! The president released our strategic oil reserves, which are supposed to be used only in times of disaster or cataclysmic events.... but--oh--don't pay any attention to that... what song are you currently listening to on your ipod? Have you seen that latest iPhone app? Anyone have any really good cookie recipes?

I have a suggestion to solve your problem (well, one of your problem). STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM WEG/OT! We would all be happier if you did.
 
LOL, Dixie has much butt-hurt since Rana beat him in the Best Poster poll...even after he voted for himself.

Anybody want to bet he wouldn't be bitching about it if he'd won?
 
It takes time to correct 30 yrs of conservative mismanagement. Everything can't be done at once especially when Republicons have stated that their only job is to make Obama a 1 term president. Conservatives are being obstructionists and are working toward making the economy bottom out before the next election. To hell with the American people, power is what your side is all about.

LMAO... Conservatives aren't having to try very hard to make the economy bottom out, Obama is doing a splendid job of that on his own.

Don't know what planet you're living on, or how much of The Dude's stash you've smoked, but nothing could be further from the truth or reality. I haven't 'complained' about any thread, I merely pointed out an observation I've made about pinhead post topics lately. I don't 'obsess' with anything, life is too short. And if you are talking about the 'best JPP poster' poll, I won that, and everyone who is honest, knows I won. It took pinheads nearly a week to figure out how to cheat me out of the win by pooling their votes. I don't blame them, ID and DY were laying the smack down on pinheads over it, but it surprises me it took them nearly a week to come up with a plan!
 
You still have my support as being JPP's best poster.....of course that's probably like having the support of Willy Horton but you still have it! :)

Thank you Mott, I certainly value your support. You are one of the few pinheads here I would enjoy having a beer with. We disagree on just about everything political, but you are good people... just a little misguided.

The observation you made about this site has always been the case, and will likely continue to be. The Off Topic forum on FP was similarly the centre of attention. Why so slow?

FYI, nobody cheated you out of anything. One of Rana's votes came from a poster who rarely visits the site, and could not have possibly been reached. Also, many of your votes came from people who routinely organize and pool their own resourses. Is that cheating?

Don't need to, unlike pinheads, I am familiar with everything I post. All you needed to say was: "No, dixie, I haven't noticed anything different." That's fine, it's your opinion... you are entitled to it. I just know that I am seeing more and more "off topic" threads lately, as the country goes to hell in a hand-basket, as our economy continues to spiral down the toilet.... pinheads want to talk about trivia... pop culture... hobbies... anything but political issues or the state of the nation. I don't really blame them for that, I just wondered if anyone else had noticed the trend.

I didn't cry and I didn't lose, I laughed and I won! I thought it was hilarious some pinhead made a poll thread to find the best JPP poster and it was ME! That freaking made my day man, I certainly wasn't crying, unless it was tears from laughing so hard. Then it took nearly a week for pinheads to 'organize' their efforts and inflate Rana's total, to save face. That was priceless as well, as is this current pinhead story line about how I 'lost' the poll and I'm supposedly now 'crying' over it ...you guys crack me up! As I said before, winning this stupid poll isn't exactly a highlight of my lifetime achievements.
