President Trump has not turned the military on anyone as yet, but he has said he would. As a result the protests, in which one police officer was shot in the back of the head at close range, have now more or less stopped. There is a right to protest peacefully.
Where protests are escalated to violence and rioting then it is entirely reasonable to announce that the military and National Guard may be used to quell it. It is a question of public safety and law and order in a civilised country. It is also urgent that an investigation is made into who or what group/s have been aggravating the riots. In this I do NOT blame BLM at all. There are clear videos of incitement showing payments to riot and destroy as well as the bussing in of paid protestors, including Ilhan Omar's daughter.
Antifa in America is now designated as a terrorist organisation and indictments are in place for the leaders which they say they don't have. Once the money trail is followed more conclusions can be made and hopefully more people arrested.
Black Lives Matter activists themselves know that their protests are being hijacked. It is entirely destructive to their cause that some cheer on the destruction. I guess "burn, baby, burn" is the worst hangover from the Vietnam era.
Interestingly Tuesday was the day Hillary Clinton failed to turn up in court for her pre-trial hearing. Her appeal for the charges to be dropped was dismissed. Her trial date is now 9th September.
