Another insane California idea

The County of San Diego's Regional Transportation Agency (SANDAG) is proposing to astronomically raise taxes on automobile use. They want to convert most or all highways within the county to toll roads with a .035 cent sales tax on purchased vehicles, along with a tax per mile driven. This is to raise, at least in part, $168 billion they want to dump into public transit and force everyone to use. At the same time, they want to shift most funding for road maintenance to public transit construction, reneging on a previous campaign promise to increase road repairs.

Ther intent is to make driving so expensive you'll stop doing it. Of course, this hurts the poor and working classes the most as they can least afford these taxes and tolls while the public transit proposed is decades away from being usable.

Another example of how the Progressive Left is nothing but a bunch of Fascists...

The Revolution fully intends to end private autos for all but a few.

They are WAY too much freedom for UTOPIA.
