Was the child wearing a hoodie?

Don't know.

Initial reports indicated the man may have shot the boy while he was on the man's porch, suggesting authorities would again have to consider the actions under the state's new castle doctrine that presumes anyone shooting an unlawful intruder to their residence acts reasonably.

But police indicated later the shooting occurred in the street, and the doctrine would not be a factor.
