I think trump has something up his sleeve for which he needs to continue the "rigged election" lie and keep it going, even if he knows most people don't believe it.

I think maybe he's planning to do something highly unconstitutional, unethical and illegal for which he wants to maintain his hard core MAGA support base and he knows how eagerly they swallows this shit.
