an president at war with his own ibtelligence field isnutter insanity

Too bad.
It's a done deal.

It may not make much sense listening to what Trump says.

But on CBS-TV 60 Minutes Trump conflated intelligence (his own IQ) with information (briefing content). Trump's answer: I don't need daily briefings. If something happens, I'm available in a minute.

Trump paid lip-service to them. But his action betrays bogosity. If he genuinely respected them, he would trust that such professionals, such career officers would have ironed out by now what presidents need to be told, and what not.

The bitter irony here is, when it blows up in Trump's face, his refrain will be: - well why didn't you tell me !? -
"You should buy stock in a business that's so good that even an idiot can run it, because sooner or later one will."
Warren Buffett, CEO Berkshire Hathaway
And so it is too with global ultrapowers, unfortunately.
