America's greatest governor in the news

It occurred to me that DEMOCRATS probably don't know what FSA is.

The state of Florida has officially eliminated traditional end-of-year standardized testing in the state, starting with the 2022-2023 school year.

Standardized testing, typically held in the spring, measures students’ ability to apply the skills and knowledge they are supposed to have learned throughout the school year. The measure was passed through the Florida legislature in SB 1048, which was signed at a press event Tuesday morning.

The state is switching from the Florida State Assessment (FSA), which will be taken for the last time this year, to the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (F.A.S.T.). The governor said the F.A.S.T. will take place three times a year with tests that will take hours versus days, and added that it will monitor student progress and foster individual growth.

“The 2022-2023 school year will serve as a new baseline for school accountability,” DeSantis said. “And school grades will resume the following year.”

Standardized testing has been controversial in the education world.

While the testing supposedly provides schools with the data they need to assess student learning, as well as determine how effective instruction has been in the classroom, the pressure of high stakes testing has long had critics concerned that teachers are too focused on teaching to the test and not engaging students in quality learning.

It’s such a big deal in education that even bungling Biden promised in 2019 that he would work to ban it in public schools. He hasn't.

But America's greatest governor promised that elimination of the FSA was on his agenda, and he delivered.

The state department of education will be implementing the plan for next school year.

Only to replace it with different assessment testing, it’s the old shell game. Governor Scott ended the F-CAT only to replace with the FSA.

Not sure what the name of the next test will be.

They are evaluating kids at the beginning mid point and end of the year. That way they don't just evaluate at the end when nothing can be done to change things.

when you watch videos of this dickhead clown, you can see why he wants to pass laws against saying the word "gay." he is incredibly light in the loafers and that is not a good thing for republican candidates.

You never were much for details, were you?

I wonder what Gillum would have done. He was your pick, as I recall.

What alleged law is that, little child?

Brad**'s professional record is besmirched with numerous examples of similar failures to perform routine due diligence before committing himself. PM me for details.

Gay and Trans Ed for Kids: A Rainbow Bridge Too Far

Rather than strengthening their dream coalition, gender-bending mythology has unraveled it.

A quick scan of mainstream headlines finds them pushing only the fabricated term for the bill without mentioning its official title: “Why Florida’s ‘Don’t Say Gay’ Bill Has Caused a Nationwide Uproar” — the Week. “Florida House Passes Controversial ‘Don’t Say Gay’ Bill” — ABC News. “ ‘Don’t Say Gay’ Bill: Florida Senate Passes Law Marginalizing LGBTQ+ People” — the Guardian. “ ‘Don’t Say Gay’ Bill: Florida Senate Passes Controversial LGBTQ School Measure” — NBC News.

This en bloc attempt at mass hypnosis exposes the Left’s desperation to indoctrinate children into its madness.

Fortunately, and typically, the indispensable greatest governor in America, Ron DeSantis, is having none of this.

Asked about the falsely-labeled “Don’t Say Gay” bill last week by a Tampa TV reporter, the greatest governor in America let him have it.

“Does it say that in the bill? I’m asking you to tell me what’s in the bill because you’re pushing false narratives.”

When the reporter said, “It bans class instruction on sexual identity and gender orientation,” the greatest governor in America responded, “For who? For grades pre-K through three — so, five-year olds, six-year-olds, seven-year olds. The idea that you wouldn’t be honest about that and tell people what it actually says, it’s why people don’t trust people like you because you peddle false narratives.”
